“Sweet William”

In this internationally acclaimed one man show, Michael inhabits a host of characters and shares a lifetime’s experience of Shakespeare’s words and drama.

 

Michael is one of the leading classical actors of his generation, an Honorary Associate Artist of the Royal Shakespeare Company, where his many Shakespeare roles included Hamlet. He has played major roles with the National Theatre and in the West End. In 1986 with Michael Bogdanov he founded the English Shakespeare Company with which he played the leads in their Shakespeare sequence ‘The Wars of the Roses’ which toured worldwide. He is also the author of a number of books on theatre, including his recently published autobiography, ‘In My Own Footsteps…’
